We all like to think we’re doing a good job, and so to win an award in recognition of your work is a great feeling.
Last night our Personal Tax Account (PTA) project team won Project of the Year at the Dynamites 16 awards which recognise and showcase the IT and Technology industry in the North East. Of course, a project as big as PTA could not have been delivered without collaboration right across HMRC but it was built by a scrum team based in HMRC’s Digital Delivery Centre in Newcastle.
The team have worked incredibly hard and achieved so much in a short space of time. It's not even a year since we launched the PTA and we’ve already had over 6 million customers log in and use their account. Throughout the whole project our emphasis has been on what our customers needed rather than just what HMRC wanted. And this is reflected in customer satisfaction scores for the project still running at around 75%.
As well as this win, the PTA team got a Highly Commended award in the Innovator of the Year category. And Software Developer apprentice Amy Hart was presented with a Highly Commended award in the Rising Star of the Year category – well done Amy!
Last but not least our Tax Credits team were also finalists in Project of the Year.
Congratulations everyone, you should be proud of yourselves.
